Meet The Author

Darniqua Bowen

Darniqua Bowen is from Castleberry, Alabama. She attended Conecuh County Jr. High School in elementary and middle school in Castleberry, AL. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, Alabama, in 2013. In 2016 she graduated from Faulkner State Community College with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts.She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of West Alabama. When Darniqua was a baby, she had major surgery to remove her appendix.
That was when she met Dr. Marsha D. Raulerson. After every appointment, Dr. Raulerson would let Darniqua pick out a book: who knew this would one day give her the idea to write her own children's book?
